Twelve Clarke County High School seniors are chosen as Rotary Students of the Month, based primarily on community service, but also on academics and interviews. Two Students of the Month and their parents are invited to a Rotary lunch in November, December, January, February, March, and April.
At the lunch students are asked to be our program, to talk about their activities (particularly community service) while in high school and their plans for after high school. Students are each awarded a $100 savings bond (current cost to the club $50/each or a total of $600 for the year). Program could be expanded to provide a scholarship for one of the students of the month.
